Running a small, profit oriented (some might say "classic") business myself, I found this book quite reassuring. Some ideas are thought provoking.But I didn't really appreciate the writing style. It uses far too much slang, which was at times not easy to understand being a non-native English speaker, and its chapters were quite repetitive. Cut the slang, half the size, and it would have been perfect for me.Nonetheless, I keep recommending it to friends who think about starting businesses. At an early stage of founding a business, this book certainly helps build self-confidence.
Die Ideen der Autoren sind durchaus einleuchtend jedoch meiner Meinung nach eher geschrieben um Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen, da hier viele millionenfach erprobte Konzepte in Frage gestellt werden selbst wenn diese sich bereits oftmals bewährt haben. Natürlich gibt es Punkte in denen die Autoren 100% Recht haben (z.B Marketing, Investoren...) daher ist es sein Geld sicherlich Wert. Aber bei manchen Punkten bekam ich den Eindruck die Autoren wollen ihre eigenen Business Entscheidungen rechtfertigen (Größe des Unternehmens).Dennoch tolles Buch wenn es mit einem "open mind" gelesen wird. Würde es auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
Rework ist eher ein Manifest als ein handfester Ratgeber, ein Quell für Reflexionen und neue Ideen. In 88 Aphorismen über modernes Unternehmertum decken die Autoren nahezu die gesamte Bandbreite des Managements von, in erster Linie, Klein- und Kleinstunternehmen ab; von der Geschäftsidee bis zur Personalentwicklung.Dabei machen sie keinen Hehl daraus, dass sie sich in erster Linie auf ihre eigenen Erfahrungen berufen. Dementsprechend ist ihr Denken stark von den Prozessen und Gegebenheiten der IT-Branche geprägt.Ich finde Rework großartig, weil es einerseits dazu anregt selbst aktiv zu werden und andererseits dazu ermutigt gegebene Vorstellungen davon "wie es geht" infrage zu stellen. Selbstverständlich muss man den beiden nicht in jedem Punkt zustimmen und viele Ratschläge lassen sich auch schlichtweg nicht auf andere Geschäftsmodelle übertragen, dennoch lohnt es sich immer, zumindest in Erwägung zu ziehen, was die Vorschläge für die eigene Praxis bedeuten könnten.Zu jedem Aphorismus gibt es eine ganzseitige Schwarz-Weiß-Zeichnung, was das Buch insgesamt auflockert. Das Artwork ist kohärent und gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut, was aber Geschmackssache ist. Die Qualität der gebundenen Ausgabe ist gut: die Haptik stimmt und die Bindung ist auch nach mehrfachem Lesen noch im Leim.Rework vermittelt eine erfrischende Leichtigkeit, die nicht den Anspruch erhebt, die Realität abzubilden (im Gegenteil: "Ignore the real world!"), sondern vielmehr als bestimmte Geisteshaltung in Bezug auf die eigene Selbständigkeit zu verstehen ist.Wenn man keine Anleitung für den Erfolg oder detaillierte Erläuterungen zur Existenzgründung erwartet und einem Manifest für den Minimalismus in der Arbeitswelt etwas abgewinnen kann, dann sollte man dieses Buch kaufen!
Dieses Buch verdient aufgrund seiner Präzision, Kürze und Akzentuierungen eine 5 Sterne Bewertung ! Warum ? Einfach LESEN ! Selbst ich als gestandener Unternehmer muss mich tagtäglich reflektieren und immer wieder neu positionieren, um im Wettbewerb und den ständigen Umwälzungen erfolgreich am markt agieren zu können. Ein absolute Pflichtlektüre für jeden Gründer, der wissen will, was WIRKLICH WICHTIG IST ! TOP BUCH. Sollte man nicht nur einmal lesen, sondern immer wieder ranziehen.
Die Ansichten, die zu Beruf und Arbeitseinstellung in REWORK beschrieben und vertreten werden, schreib ich mir auch schon seit Jahren (auf die ein oder andere Weise) auf meine kleine Fahne und versuch sie auch an Kollegen weiterzugeben, was manchmal nicht ganz einfach ist. Dieses Buch hat mich nochmals bestärkt, dass diese Denkweise ein richtiger Weg ist. Die Autoren nehmen als Fallbeispiel oft ihre eigene Firma 37Signals her, um zu zeigen, dass es auch anders geht und man es schafft, mit guten Produkten viel Geld zu verdienen, ohne sich vom Job runterziehen zu lassen und sich totzuarbeiten. Sehr sympatisch. Bisschen viel Eigenlob manchmal, aber ansonsten ein schönes Buch, was man an 2 Abenden aber leider schon durchgelesen hat.
Wer mit dem Gedanken spielt eine Unternehmung zu gründen ist mit dem Buch ganz gut bedient, denn es regt ungemein die Motivation an.Dennoch sollte man es mit Vorsicht genießen, denn vieles hört sich sehr einfach an, was meiner Meinung nach in der Realität oft nicht der Fall ist.Desweiteren spielen die Autoren mehrfach das Risiko der Selbstständigkeit herunter, nur weil es bei ihnen so gut geklappt hat ;-).Lehrhaft ist das Buch meiner Meinung nicht. Es wird lediglich eine andere Sichtweise zur kommerziellen Betriebswirtschaftslehre dargelegt, auf die aber nicht weiter eingegangen wird. Zudem wiederholen sich die Autoren des öfteren, und füllen ca. 50% des Buches mit Bildern.Es ist mit guten Englischkenntnissen auf anhieb zu verstehen, kann also auch für Englischanfänger mit Interesse an wirtschaftlichen Geschehnissen als Übungsbuch sehr gut genutzt werden.Wer sich also nicht unbedingt weiterbilden möchte, sondern eine andere Sichtweise - ein Unternehmen zu führen - kennen lernen will, ist mit dem Buch ganz gut bedient.Wer jedoch ein Unternehmen gründen möchte, sollte das Buch skeptisch angehen.
